About

Ben was born and raised in upstate New York in the small town of Wappingers Falls. They began their theatre journey in summer camps with their friends. They quickly began to love the art of shower concerts and car ride jams, which grew into their passion for theatre. They started doing full length productions in middle school, which quickly became their year around passion project. They fell in love with theatre and the ability to build a tiny world on stage, which lead them to begin taking vocal lessons at the age of twelve. They began singing and performing around the Hudson valley and tri state area, running the typical theatre kid high school gauntlet. In high school they were first exposed to working backstage and began costuming/dressing productions which lead them to learning to sew. This led them to costume designing productions later in college and eventually would lead them to Stage Managing and has influenced them as a Director greatly. Their experience in high school told them that they wanted to further pursue a career in the arts. Upon graduation they attended Dutchess Community College with a major in Performance Arts, this was a vital first step. Their time completing their associates degree gave them the ability to explore their artistry and connect with other artists and teachers who impacted Ben greatly. This ignited Bens passion to tell real stories about real people and made by those people. They went on to attend Rider University where they studied Theatre Arts with a concentration in Acting and a Minor in Art Entertainment Industries Management. During their time at Rider, Ben fostered their love for storytelling and creation, while finding a passion for new work and theatre for social change. Since Graduation Ben has been working as an Actor, Stage Manager,Teaching Artist and arts Administrator. They have worked with people ages 5-21 as both a teacher and mentor. In their free time they love to binge watch television, read, travel, listen to music, eat ice cream, go to the gym, spend time with friends, or go to the movies. They are excited for the next journey and the next story.
